How naive was I to think...
There's all types of people in this world.
And I'm not referring to the differences in races nor the religions.
Warning: If you find the following two stories too wordy, please feel free to skip them.
Disclaimer: IN ANY CASE, THE TWO STORIES ARE NOT REFERRING TO YOU OR YOUR FRIENDS OR ANYONE YOU & I KNOW, or whatsoever.
Rmb B & I went cycling at East Coast on thurs?
Well, we cycled passed this stretch of road and memories flooded in my mind.
I was telling B how this bestfren of mine and I used to meet at east coast just to rollerblade.
(By the way, I'm not gd at rollerblading)
We were really good friends for a long time since sec1.
She and I picked up ice-skating tgt and that explains why we knw a lil rollerblading.
Hand in hand, we would blade along that stretch of the road towards the very end as it wasn't crowded there.
And our enemies would be the many humps that were planted along the track.
You see, both of us ain't good at it at all.
When one almost fall, the other would act as a support and helped to regain stability.
Nonetheless, when one actually did fall, the other would be pulled along too.
We fell tgt umpteen times. But we still would have fun.
Too bad, she is all changed in recent years.
It seemed like ever since she broke up w her bf or something along that line.
I thought friendship can be pure. But that's just my naivety.
People do change, whether you like it or not.
I did try to salvage, but it takes two to make it happen.
So all I can say is it's just a pity.
Another incident,
This happened some time ago,
but up till now I still find it funny how people differ from one another.
A couple of u may knw this.
There's this goodfren of B who happened to be his neighbour too.
They would meet up everyday at the void-deck to have some 'Brother' talks.
I was really happy from the bottom of my heart that B has such a good buddy whom he can open up to.
I always believe that apart from gf/bf, one shud also have a gooddfren whom he/she can turn to.
Almost every night, when B was sending me home, his gdfren would sms him to see
if he would like to meet at the void-deck to chat or to go jogging.
I knw u must be thinking if that gdfren is a gay or some sort like that.
No. He's not. He has a long-time gf. So he's straight for sure.
Probably he too wanted someone to turn to.
But that's where all the nightmares begin.
Let me tell you my side of the story first and then what actually happens later.
B and his gd buddy, lets call him C. (A random alphabet).
B and C would meet up every other night to jog or to chat.
On some nights when C didn't call/sms B to ask him to go jogging, I would actually suggest B to initiate instd.
I find it cute that B and C are such gd buddies as though they were some small boys.
C and his gf didn't go for movies for a long time,
whereas B n I are insanely into watching movies.
B even encouraged C to bring his gf for movies.
To an extent, B and I even asked them along to watch a movie together.
And that's like my first actual meeting with C's gf.
We didn't talk at all. Not a single word.
B has been influencing C gradually and perhaps unknowingly to be more caring towards his gf,
since B is super caring towards me, we wanted them to be closer and thus happy too.
And this is roughly my side of the story.
Here we are trying to spice up their relationship.
We thot that C and C's gf have been dating for so long, maybe 5yrs or so,
they may neglect each other's feelings.
On another occasion, B even treated C n his gf to dinner.
Yet again, C's gf and I only exchanged a few superficial sentences abt some sort of movies.
On occasions when B n C met at the void-deck,
and when B learns that C's gf is actually waiting for C at his house,
B would quickly end the chatting sessions and asked C to go home to accompany her.
Here comes the best part,
C's gf happened to have a classmate who happens to be my friend too.
It's getting complicated I know.
That common friend blurted out one day that C's gf has been complaining to her abt B and I EVERY SINGLE DAY.
I was stunned and puzzled since I didn't even knw C's gf.
So this common friend of ours told me that C's gf has been complaining that,
ever since B and C become bestfrens, C hasn't have time for her.
She also complained that C used to go jogging w her but now, C went jogging w B instd.
She even accused B to be the third party between them and that B kept asking C to meet up.
It was so ridiculous how B was pulled into the picture of theirs.
So i tried to explain that it's not B who asked C usually. It's more of C asking B.
I was there when B receive the smses.
Didn't it occur to her that C also needed a friend?
I mean if their relationship is strong, there is no way such things wud happen.
The fact is that C n his gf haven been jogging tgt many yrs back.
The next day C told B that C's gf said I was unhappy that B is hanging out too much w C.
Obviously someone tweaked my words.
Things pretty much got out of hand frm there.
Honestly, I admit that I've been trying to avoid any contacts with C's gf and also that common friend.
Reason being is that whatever that common friend learns abt me,
she would tell C's gf as they meet everyday in sch. It has happened. And I'm pretty much sick of it.
Initially, I really wanted her as a friend, but now, I'm not sure.
B wanted to confront C but we figured out that this wun do any good.
And it's totally useless. U can't stop tongues from wagging.
And I really didn't wan B and C's friendship to be sabotaged.
I think up till now, C is still oblivious of what has happened.
This is a perfect example of gd intentions backfired. Classic.
Never in my life have I met anything like this or seen someone who acted like this.
The fact that how things got twisted or rather manipulated really irks me.
How naive am I to still think tat the four of us (B, C, C's gf n me) can hang out more and have double dates in the beginning.
And the best thing is that Im gonna meet up w that common friend
this coming week together with my other friends.
Lets see what will happen next. -
Somerset 313

We went to Somerset 313 the newly opened shopping centre in orchard today.
I was surprised when I first enterred, bcos I dun expect much from it judgin from the name.
Somerset 313 doesn't sound as classy or appealing as ION n so on, but it turned out good!
I like the concept of the mall, it's kinda different from the other malls.
There's a wide range of shops and I think they have the largest Forever21 there, zara and cotton on.
The crowd is constantly streaming in since it's a stone throw away from the mrt.
In fact, it's directly above the mrt.
The experience in Somerset 313 was a good one.
Moreover, there's a wide range of food outlets.
There's Food Republic too.
Since I wasn't hungry and that B had just taken his lunch, we settled at Ya-Kun
for it's famous half-boiled eggs and toast.
Was just craving for some Ya-kun a few nights ago. Haha!
I gotta say Ya-kun really cooks their eggs and toast to perfection.
In my opinions, they did better than Toastbox, even though Toastbox has more variety.
Enjoyed my egg set :)
We strolled down Orchard Road to Heeren and Taka.
The whole place was jam-packed with tourists and families during this festive season.

My Christmas eve.
It's going to be wordy...
Anyway, I spent Christmas eve with B at East Coast!
It was really nice to spend time doing everything under the sun with your loved one.
Oh and I finally know the term: Tandem!
The bicycle which two can ride tgt is actually called Tandem Bikes! (Thks to B)
Just got a crazy idea of riding a tandem on thurs and
WA LAH! There we were! My first time!
I knw he was very used to his thousand-over-dolla personal bike,
and u knw there's a huge difference between a bike which u are accustomed to and the rented ones.
He used to cycle all the way to east coast to meet me and my cellgrp
in order to join our cycling activity. He was still staying at Queensclose back then.
He's that crazy to reject riding on a rented bike.
And B was very spontaneous at a rash suggestion of mine
B was very adventurous and gotten everything ready.
Me, taking the backseat enjoyed the scenery, the sea, the sunset, the grass and people.
Thk God it wasn't crowded there!
HAHA! And none of us got hurt!
B was recounting his past incident of riding a tandem on a class gathering and how his friend fell on the ground.
That made me laughed until my cheeks went numb.
We were chattering all the way while cycling, making a couple of stops at the jetty.
With B doing most of the chatting of cos,
I love how he comes up with all the topics and filling me with the details of his life.
It's just amazing! Especially with the sun setting at the background.
We cycled for 2 whole hours! My legs went wobbly at the end of it!
And B even jokingly asked me to peddle when we were actually on his bike!
HAHA! Made me laughed insanely!
It's my best day this week! We have even agreed on doing it again some time soon!
Too bad I didn't bring my cam along that day.
Continues...
Well, it all started back on wed after classes.
B wanted to bring me to a good dinner. He let me choose the place.
He gave me quite a number of choices like Dempsey Road, Swissotel and EastCoast and etc.
In the end, we narrowed to two choices, Fish&Co, the place where he asked me to be his gf,
and this BBq place(Rong Guang) near our sch where we love the stingray there.
It took me quite awhile to decide.
I changed my mind to go to the BBq place just when we were leaving the school for Fish&Co. Haha!
Simply bcos it's near our sch. Both of us were worn out by a full day of lectures.
And also, secretly I've been craving for the bbq food served piping hot! Haha!
We called for our usual dishes
and it's funny how the person taking down orders kept telling us to take the smaller size dishes
and how we can't finish them. Haha!
Still, we insisted on our large orders of cos!
B is here to finish all the food! And he will say otherwise! Haha!

Although it's not an exquisite and posh dinner as what we initially planned for, it's definitely a hearty meal.
Not that it's much cheaper either. Just dun wan B to spend unnecessarily.
After which, B brought me to Serene Centre's re-known ice-cream place, the Island Creamery.
There we tried out both Nutella and Apple pie flavoured ice-cream.
We tried the mudpie too! The dessert really completed the meal.
So sweet of B :)
Oh And did I mention that he just bought two pints of ice-cream from Island Creamery for me today? Burnt Caramel and Nutella.
Time really flies. B and I are together for 3 years now.
It's very unbelievable for one to still be that sweet after 3 years.
Maintaining a good relationship wasn't easy at all,
it sure takes alot of compromises and communications to make it work.
And on top of it all, he really knows me thoroughly. More so than I know myself.
I'm blessed with him.
All I can say is, I'm in love. Even after 3years.
Happy 3rd Anniversary, B.

I'm waiting for dinner to be prepared now.
Apple has bought tonnes and tonnes of mouth-watering Mussels!
Apple cooks the best seafood! :)
Where shud I even start?
Hmm.. Lets backtrack from ystday.
Last night, sadly it wasn't full force, vikky and bai couldn't make it to join us.
But we would have perfectly understood it. It's Christmas!
Am still glad that the rest still make time to get together
and we really enjoyed every single moments of it.
We went to try out Mussel Guys.
Was craving for pasta, so ordered the 'Curry' chicken pasta in tomato sauce.
Well, it's sorta inside joke. Supposed to be Garlic chix.
And Gab ordered this big bowl of their signature steamed mussels. Totally awesome!
We were very fascinated by it! Haha! It's huge and very fresh!
I think it's py who started the trend of drinking the sauce that comes with it. Haha!
The mussels really are succulent!
There's some set menus with real affordable prices ranging from $10.90 - $15.90. Try it!
But those set menus are available on wkends n public holidays if I wasn't wrong.

We spent some time chilling outside vivo.
And we unintentionally started a finger competition.
Comparing who can bend their fingers the most. Obviously it's py! Ad maybe gab.
(Refer to the centre of the pic above.) Pretty scary i know.
I really can't understand why one can bend her thumb so much backwards.
But it's fun. Next we started comparing who got the shortest pinky!
Han proudly won it! Haha! He's the one initiating it!
After some chills outside, we moved on to B&J's!
I knw this may look a little familiar, I just been there last week w 96 196 frenz.
But well, the companions r different.
We were a little more adventurous this time.
JW & Han treated the rest of us with two pints of ice-cream.
Fish food (Chocolate, marshmallow with chunks of chocolate shaped in fish)
And Strawberry Cheesecake! Both are really excellent!
B came to join us towards the end.
Came all the way frm woodlands to send me home. Thks B!
I am Happy. :) -
